Social Justice

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” ~ Margaret Mead

Established in 2001, this group of parishioners works diligently to educate the parish on justice issues that impact locally and globally. These issues also include environmental concerns. Weekly bulletin articles, annual projects, sale of fairly traded items, support of various activities and fundraisers, and awareness raising, combine with letter-writing campaigns to raise the level of consciousness of parishioners and provide the opportunity for their involvement. Classes with the jr. high students and the forming of their justice inspired group called Imagine have spearheaded school involvement and awareness. New members are always welcome.

OUR FAIR TRADE ITEMS ARE FOR SALE AFTER MASSES ONCE A MONTH. PLEASE CHECK THE BULLETIN OR THE EVENTS PAGE FOR SPECIFIC DATES.

If you are interested in joining, please contact Sister Jolene in the rectory. We hope to see you soon!
