Purpose of the Pastoral Council
The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to act as a channel through which the insights, suggestions, and concerns of parishioners can be presented to the Pastor and to the parish community at large. The Pastoral Council also advises and assists the Pastor in developing, coordinating, and carrying out programs and activities for the spiritual and material welfare of the parish community. Finally, the Pastoral Council assists the Pastor in developing and implementing long-term plans and goals for the Parish. It shall be the policy of the Pastoral Council to encourage parishioners to bring matters before the council by appearing at a meeting of the Council, through the Council’s standing committees, or by contacting any member of the council.
